Email Antics
In the wake of the comcast.net being hacked this morning, which prevented a lot of people from getting access to their email, I got to thinking about fun email antics you might use against your co-workers. The main thing that comes to mind is just jumping on someones computer when they leave it unlocked and using their email to send messages to your co-workers. This is a common tactic used to convince people they should lock their computers.
No commentsPairing your bluetooth
Today I have another amusing thing to do to your friends and enemies that I have to give credit to The Office for. Basically it boils down to this, your co-worker walks away and leaves their phone on their desks. You simply take their phone and pair it with your bluetooth headset. Then when a phone call comes in you have the option of taking it for them. Obviously you might want to be careful not to get into any awkward situations like answering a call from a collection agency :).
No commentsJello Desk
This particular attack does not have to use jello but it is possibly most well known for the use of it with Jello in the television show the Office. Basically in this attack you take all the items on a persons desk and wrap them in something like aluminum foil or suspend them in Jello. This obviously works best if the person is out of the office for a day. Further please don’t suspend electronic equipment in Jello, or if you do don’t blame me when it no longer works.
If you do this to one of your co-workers send in a snapshot of it.
No commentsMucking with cables
Something for the not to tech savvy today. A fun and annoying thing to do to those around you is just unplug some cables. The mouse and keyboard are always good. The monitor can be an obvious one but that makes it no less fun.
One that is really hard to track down only works if your associate has a powered USB hub of some kind, often a monitor. You can unplug the USB cable that feeds it but not the power. Any USB powered device will detect a USB connection but the computer wont. This can be difficult to track down since the device sees USB power which looks like a connection.
No commentsFlicking Soda Tabs
A coke tab can be an insidious weapon, and fortunately in your average office environment they can be found in abundance. I had planned on writing my own tutorial on how to flick soda tabs but a quick search of the internet found me a tutorial and a video. This can be a slightly difficult trick to learn but it is fun once you get it down.
No commentsOffice Guns
So a common problem you may encounter is the need to mount an offence from your desk with only what equipment you have at hand. While forethought and preparation are often a good idea it turns out that sometimes there is just not enough time to prepare for a proper assault. This site will help you build guns out of your common office equipment. Take a look at their site and try out some of their guns. <Disclaimer>Remember though, don’t blame me if someone bleeds.</Disclaimer>

Welcome back to work everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Maybe some of you even tried out topcoder, if so good for you, I hope you had a fun go of it.
Well on to today’s topic, I have another program for you today, this one is simple, when run it takes a screen shot of the current desktop, then displays that image full screen. What this does is lend the illusion of a no longer working desktop. Try it out on your friends. To end this app just hit alt-F4 or control-alt-delete and use task manager. For that matter you can alt-tab out of it. But it is still good for a little chuckle.
No commentsBoo
Welcome back today, so if you have been reading for a little while you may remember the Shortcut Switch up! article. Well this program, loving named Boo goes along well with that one. Basically boo is a super annoying little version of boo the ghost from the Mario series of games. You run him and he pops up on your screen and begins to chase the cursor. Not so anoying in and of itself but if he catches you he makes more Boos. I have however limited him to 10 Boos at a time since otherwise it could seriously chew up your system resources quickly.
One more thing, the trick to getting rid of Boo is to turn caps lock on. Then instead of making more Boos, any Boos that catch you will just die.
No commentsWater with a kick
This one comes to you courtesy of the tip line, and I have to say, some of you out there in interwebz land are more evil than I am.
This is a simple physical attack. You go to the water cooler, take those cups that hang on the side and dip the rims of them in Tabasco sauce. Then it is as easy as letting them dry and putting them back. Later on some thirsty people will find that the water we have here has a kick. Enjoy!
No commentsRandom Clicks
Welcome back, today I bring you another toy to annoy your friends and co-workers. This program requires a little background though. Have you ever been typing on a laptop and accidentally touched the touch-pad with your wrist? When you do it often registers as a click and clicks where ever the mouse is. This can be really aggravating because your cursor is jumping all over the place and you just want to type. So I decided (thanks to a tip from a friend) to emulate this for regular computers. This program RandomClicks randomly clicks the mouse when you are typing. This one is designed to be fairly rare so it might take a little while. This one is vista x64 compatible though. Have fun with it.
